We specialise in building bespoke energy efficient timber framed, stone faced houses to your requirements. Our primary field of work is in the alteration / restoration / renovation of domestic property as well as new build for the discerning client where we aim to provide high quality workmanship with attention to details and finishes.

Started by John and Jason who between them have over 30 years of building and project management experience. We now have a team of 12 builders who specialise in original stone homes new or renovated. We have at our disposal 4 stone masons, 4 carpenters, 2 electricians/ plumbers and 2 team leaders with general experience in all types of building.

French stone homes employs tradesmen skilled in traditional restoration and renovation crafts including stone slate roofing, stone masonry and specialist decorating.The team bring a wealth of restoration and renovation experience totalling some 40 years. The company is located in the Lot region of south west France near Soulliac and are well placed to undertake building projects throughout the Midi-Pyrenees and Aquitaine regions.

New homes

French stone homes have been commissioned to build three new stone homes in traditional regional style. Planning applications, full plans, and ground surveys are included in our service.

Renovations

We have to date restored three properties one of which was an old garage built in grey block.
We will also be posting on the web site the progress of the Ruin at Cras as it goes up. Expected completion June 2009.

Project Management

We are currently project managing the renovations at an old Chateau in the Dordogne which is an historic building. The project involves the addition of bathrooms and toilets within existing large bedrooms so care and attention to detail are essential.
